Pictures from home

These are a few of my formal portraits taken outside on my front yard.
Basic setup.
1. Have my sister hold my homemade backdrop
2. Chair for him to sit on

These pictures were taken in the shade. No flash or reflectors used. It would've been nice if I had a formal setup so I can get some catchlight in the eyes and rid of the slight shadow under the chin. I happy with the results though. That's not his natural smile. I told him to laugh instead of smile haha.

Maybe next week, I'll take a picture with my other homemade backdrop (aqua green color)

The pictures below are just some candid shots of him doing his favorite thing in the world "Blowing Bubbles". Kinda hard to mix things up when all I get are shots of him in my front yard.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Here are a few pictures of some food at the BBQ at my brother's house. My nieces made some cupcukes and we decorated them to spell out Happy Mother's Day. Did you notice my attempt at putting some texture onto the photo? It actually helped quite a bit.

A strawberry filled cake from the local bakery.

Mmmmm.....Strawberry and Mango Salad looks delicious!

More pics of food...

A couple more pictures of food. There was just too much food to take pictures of everything. Korean BBQ ribs, fish, kabobs, noodles, vegetable dish, salad, fruit salad, cake, cupcakes, almond/coconut jello desert, etc etc. Just way too much food for about 20 people to eat.

I took a photo of how I imagine I would take of photo of a bride holding her bouquet. Like it?

My favorite picture

The first one is my favorite photo along with the second picture of my previous post. My nephew has many different types of hats so I'm going to try to take some of him wearing everyone one of his hats. It's easier now that summer is here. I'm not too crazy of the blue one.....looks funny!
